Back with the same staff but in a new studio
Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku Wo! or better known as Konosuba is one of the most popular comedy isekai anime.
I will not hesitate to call this anime a legendary anime from the comedy isekai genre, those of you who have seen it must have more or less the same thoughts as me.
This anime series first aired in 2016 was eagerly awaited by many anime fans, it became even more so after the movie from this series aired in 2017.
And what fans were most hoping for finally came true, some time ago Kadokawa announced that the Konosuba series would get a third season.
The announcement was also accompanied by the release of the latest visual art for the third season of the Konsuba anime.
Not only that, Kadokawa apparently gave another very horrendous news, namely that the spin off of the Konosuba series will also get an anime adaptation.
This spin off, which comes from the light novel Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World, will also get an anime adaptation, this spin off tells the story of Megumin's life.
This anime will bring the same staff to work on it but with a different studio, the studio that will work on the third season is Studio Drive.
In total there are three studios that have worked on this series from the first season to the third season, namely studio Deen (season 1-2), JC Staff (Movie), and Studio Drive (Season 3).
The voice actors are still the same, namely Jun Fukushima as Kazuma, Sora Amamiya as Aqua, Rie Takahashi as Megumin, and Ai Kayano as Darkness.
The main novel series ended with the 17th volume in May 2020. Akatsuki also wrote the spinoff novels, and Mishima served as illustrator for the spinoff. Akatsuki launched the spinoff novels in 2014, and the series includes three novels and two sequel series novels.
Yen Press is releasing the original KONOSUBA light novels as well as Masahito Watari's manga adaptation in English. The company is also releasing the Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! spinoff novels and Kasumi Morino's manga adaptation in English.
